What to do
The center of Portugal has countless things to offer. Mortágua is located really in the center of the center. From here you can go in all directions: to the ocean beaches, to the mountains of the Serra da Estrela and to the cities of Coimbra, Aveiro and Viseu. Or you can stay close to home, exploring the waterfalls of Mortágua, the spa’s of Luso, Bussaco Palace or the car museum and mountains of the Serra do Caramulo. It all depends on how much time you want to spend in your car. But remember: even the drive is a joy in it self. Avoid the highways (A) and mainroads (IP and IC) and enjoy the scenery from the local roads. Please use your mobile, gps or good old map and guidebook to find your way.
