Restaurants in Mortágua
There are plenty of restaurants in Mortágua and in the area around the town. They all serve good (usualy Portuguese) food, but we recommend the following restaurants, because of location, atmosphere and/or menu.
Green table bar
If you want something quite different, we recommend the Green Table bar. It is set allong the Mortágua river, in the town park, with nice shades under the trees when the sun gets too hot. They also serve small dishes, and everything is Vegan. Go from Mortágua city centre towards the railway station / Vale de Açores. Just before the bridge that crosses the railway tracks, it is on your left side. It is a small road going down into the park

Pizzaria Matos
As the name suggests, it serves pizza’s. And very good ones! Each pizza has the name of one of the villages in Mortágua. They also serve Portuguese food. It is located on the main road to Mortágua, in Moitinhal, on your left side. It is just behind the main road, next to a garage. It is signposted.

Adega dos Sabores
Good (Portuguese) food, excellent wine choice, and very nice atmosphere. It is in downtown Mortágua. Coming from the Intermarché, go into town. When you see the fountains and the townhall on your left, you see a road on your right side that goes up a little. Take that road, than take the compulsary right turn. The restaurant is on your right side.

Porta 22 & Tasca da Bila
Very nice in summertime, because they have a courtyard! Almost next door is Tasca da Bila: the chef usually serves a couple of dishes, but fresh, homemade and prepared with dedication. You will feel at home in his restaurant, and the music is great. Both restaurants are downtown, but in the smaller street that goes parallel to the main street. Coming from Intermarché into Mortágua, you can park opposite the town hall, walk left towards the post office CTT (red tiled building), than take that street to the right. The restaurants are on you left side, after about 200 meters. If you want to park close to the restaurant, than drive into Mortágua (coming from Intermarché). Keep following the road (it becomes a cobble stone road) till the small roundabout, go left here. After 100 meters, left again. You will find the restaurants on your right side.
